About sonali
My journey into movement and wellness has been shaped by discipline , curiosity and lived experience.
As a National-level Table Tennis player and a trained Bharatanatyam dancer, I grew up in environments that demanded focus, resilience, and devotion to craft – qualities that continue to anchor my approach to movement.
Balancing competitive sport, academics, and extracurricular pursuits cultivated in me a quiet fighter’s instinct – the resilience to show up consistently, stay composed under pressure, and do the work required, especially when it felt difficult.
That same discipline guided my academic path. I went on to qualify as a Chartered Accountant, securing an All India Rank of 38, and began my professional journey with global organisations such as Merrill Lynch and Deloitte. That chapter refined my precision, discipline, and analytical clarity – qualities that now underpin my approach to movement and teaching.
Yet life has a way of reshaping even the most carefully charted paths.
A severe road accident, followed years later by another significant fall, brought an unexpected pause. Living with recurring pain and an L4–L5 disc issue required patience and humility. During this period, my relationship with my body profoundly deepened. My injuries became my greatest teachers, revealing that the body is not merely something to train, but something to listen to, respect, and care for.
For a time, as I balanced recovery with personal responsibilities, my own well-being quietly receded into the background.
Under medical guidance, I began rebuilding with intention – and discovered Pilates through rehabilitation.
What began as recovery soon revealed itself as something far greater. Through intelligent, mindful movement, I experienced how the body responds to awareness, progressive strength, and consistency. Pilates did not simply restore me; it reshaped my understanding of strength and redefined my path.
Curiosity turned into commitment. I immersed myself in formal training, completing comprehensive certification with Balanced Body across both Mat and Equipment. My education has since expanded across Animal Flow, Functional Strength, Yoga, Yin Yoga, Ayurveda, NLP, Kettlebells, and Nutrition – reflecting my belief that health is integrated and continually evolving.
I also competed in strength sport, earning Gold at the National Kettlebell Championships – reaffirming my belief that strength is empowering at every stage of life.
Today, I work with clients across India and internationally through online coaching, workshops, and curated Wellness & Movement Retreats. My work includes movement coaching, Rehabilitation Pilates, and Prenatal and Postnatal Pilates.
I believe movement has no age limit. Each body is different. Each journey is unique. I begin from where you are – and guide you toward strength, balance, and sustainable progress.
At the heart of my work lies a simple truth I learned through experience: the body thrives when approached with strength, awareness, and respect.
I help you cultivate all three – so you can move with clarity, live with balance, and carry quiet confidence into every stage of life.
